How much are bulletproof windows?

The cost of bullet-resistant windows varies widely based on the protection level, size, and installation requirements. Entry-level UL-752 Level 1 rated panels, which stop handgun rounds, typically start in the range of a few hundred dollars per square foot installed. Higher protection levels capable of stopping rifle rounds can cost significantly more. For commercial applications such as banks, pharmacies, or government buildings, a complete transaction window system can range from several thousand to tens of thousands of dollars depending on scope. Generally, prices start at around $150 per square foot and can go up to $500 or more for higher levels of ballistic resistance. Beyond the glass itself, the cost is heavily influenced by the framing system; standard frames cannot support the weight or the force of a ballistic impact, so specialized ballistic-rated frames must be installed. Installation labor is another factor, as these systems are incredibly heavy and require specialized expertise to ensure they are anchored correctly.
